Free WiFi for All launched in Palawan

As the month of March moves forward, so does the rollout of the UNDP-DICT’s Free Wi-Fi for All Program across the country – including at the Province of Palawan.

To celebrate the on-going establishment of free Wi-Fi sites across the province, a Ceremonial Switch-on was held on March 5, 2020 at the Ramon V. Mitra Sports Complex.

The switch on was headed by City Mayor Lucilo Bayron with a live simulcast with DICT Secretary Gregorio Honasan.

The launch and activation of the program was simultaneous held in Lanao Del Sur, Isabela, Davao City, Albay, and Palawan.

The DICT’s Free Wi-Fi for All aims to accelerate the Philippine government’s efforts in enhancing internet accessibility for Filipinos so that, in turn, economic, social, and educational opportunities will be bolstered, and the growing Digital Divide can be bridged.
